At first, when I committed to Belmont I honestly had no idea what to expect from college. In the past, I travelled to the United States several times but never got the chance to visit Nashville, so I didn’t know what to expect from the city. I am very open-minded, but being from another country I was not expecting this big change to be easy. I would have never thought to find the quality of people here at Belmont. Since everyone knows I came to Belmont from Italy, they have all made me feel at home, which is something I have truly appreciated. Belmont definitely helped me to see my life from a different perspective.

Coach Costa always tells us how important it is to not just focus on yourself, but to see the bigger picture. He wants us to be grateful for the people around us and always be willing to help each other. This is something that I learned from my coach, but is a value that represents Belmont. This is something that I think about every day since I moved here. I personally think that life is beautiful, but it can be so much better if you have the right people around you.

To me Belmont means more than just my college experience. I have friends and teammates that I can call brothers and sisters. I feel very blessed because I am around pure and genuine people every day and that is something that I absolutely love. I am very grateful to Belmont because it gave me a huge opportunity both soccer and school wise.
